Help I Need More Applique - I am looking for applique for my line of pasties. I prefer wholesale or discount of course. My current supplier is no longer carrying all the colours I need so I need to source a new supplier. Does anyone know where to find applique like this: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=26589&page=1§ion_id=5099779&order= those are of course already in pasty form but it gives you the idea.
I am in Vancouver, BC but I don't mind ordering on line.
Thanks a bunch.
Tabi... Re: making jewelry while pregnant? - I think as long as you stay away from lead, you'll be fine ... Re: twig chandelier - Just found a way of using a large tin cookie cutter to glue (yes I love my hot glue gun!) tree roots around it . put some glittery pears and berries on .looking good so far!... Re: twig chandelier - Hot glue gun?... Re: making jewelry while pregnant? - sounds like you should just wash everything in soap and water before you work with it.... Re: making jewelry while pregnant? - i was pregnant with my middle child and taking painting and jewelry classes with no problems. And doing it at home also. I even made sure with my ob first. We have a lot of chemical plants down here in here in Louisiana and many of her patients work there with no problems. Use the typical precautions and you should do fine. If you are worried about the residue on your hands you could try latex/non latex "surgical" gloves.
I'd say the only thing you have to worry about is the baby becoming hooked on jewelry making and taking over all your supplies! lol... twig chandelier - I have been trying to make a chandelier out of twigs more of a lampshade with the twigs/ tree roots hanging down.My plan was to stick some glittery berries on . I am having real problems with attatching the twigs to a wire circle as they keep moving around! any hints? If anyone can give me a link or a photo of something simillar I would be greatful!... Re: making jewelry while pregnant? - yeah, i was just wondering because when i make jewelry i often notice a metal residue on my hands-particularly with stainless steel and silver wires. but i notice with gold and copper too. wearing it is fine, but i wondered if forming wire jewelry would be a bit too much?... Re: making jewelry while pregnant? - I've never heard it was unsafe to wear them while pregnant. Gold especially is a pretty inert substance. I can't see what harm could come, especially if you are not using other chemicals or fire.... making jewelry while pregnant? - Just curious:
Is it safe to work (cold) with silver and gold and copper, etc. while pregnant? Is it just a no soldering/casting thing, or should one stay away from working with metals all together?
A recent discussion led me to wonder and google is not turning up specific answers yet, so i thought i'd ask you ladies for input :D... Re: Rose Crochet Pattern - here's another link too http://megan.cc/StripMethodRose/... Re: Making your own paper beads: what kind of varnish to use? - I'd love to see a picture of the finished product. Will you post one?... Re: Rose Crochet Pattern - that's a fun project

Found some videos on youtube. They recommended a polyeurethane varnish. I got a fast drying spray and will spray them in the morning, as it's taken me a bit to get like 30 beads done from the first stages.... Re: Rose Crochet Pattern - http://rsislandcrafts.blogspot.com/2008/02/crocheted-long-stem-roses-free-pattern.html... Re: Rose Crochet Pattern - I have an old magazine that has crochet pattern of flowers it's packed away, but I'll try to dig it up for you.... Re: Making your own paper beads: what kind of varnish to use? - http://www.tappi.org/paperu/art_class/paperBeads.htm this may help i used macre me' glue. i think thats what its called. then just sprayed it with a bit of gloss spray paint.... Rose Crochet Pattern - Does anyone have a good crochet pattern to make roses? I'm not talking about the Irish Roses, but rosebud looking flowers. My brother has been hooking carnations, and since we live in the "Rose City" (Portland, OR), he wants to make some roses to give as gifts, but can't find a pattern he likes. Thanks!... Re: Holiday gifts in the mix? - I successfully made my first clothing item - a pair of PJ pants for my mother in law. She loves them! :D I also stitched cute little stuffed animal heads to the backs of mittens for my nieces using patterns from this book: http://www.amazon.com/Cute-Book-Aranzi-Aronzo/dp/1932234683/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1230741020&sr=8-1 It was super easy, quick, and they loved them. And felt is soooo cheap - I still have plenty to make lots and lots more cute little characters.... Copyright © 2009, Web Business Pro. All Rights Reserved. |
